RUM BALLS

  • 2 cups finely crushed vanilla wafers (a food processor or rolling pin does this quickly)

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

  • 1/8-cup maple syrup

  • 1/3-cup rum (or brandy)

  • 1/2-cup butter

Thoroughly mix all ingredients. Roll into small bite size balls. Shake in a bag of powdered sugar or cocoa until well coated. Makes approximately 36 rum balls.
