PECAN TARTS

  • 10 unbaked 4" tartlet shells

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 1-cup brown sugar

  • 1/2-teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/2-cup maple syrup

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons pecan extract

  • 2 cups halved pecans

Mix ingredients of filling together, adding pecans last. Spoon into unbaked tart shells, distributing syrup and pecans evenly. Bake at 425 degrees for 8 minutes, then at 350 degrees until crust is golden brown, about /0-15 minutes. Introduced at Christmas with such success, we con­tinue to sell them year round.
