REMOULADE SAUCE

  • 2 cups mayonnaise

  • 1 cup prepared mustard (with grain if possible)

  • 2 tablespoons anchovy paste

  • 2 teaspoons tarragon

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 shallots, minced

  • 2 tablespoons horseradish

  • 4 dashes Tabasco Sauce

  • 1/4 cup chopped chervil

  • 1/4 cup chopped gherkins

Thoroughly mix all ingredients. Chill. Makes approximately 4 cups.

DID YOU KNOW: Remoulade Sauce is well known as an accompaniment to shrimp and other seafood. It is also delicious served as a vegetable dip or mixed with a little buttermilk for a good salad dressing.
